Gepotidacin, originating from the drugmaker GSK, gained clearance in concurrent days. This medication, which is employed against urinary tract infections, was shown in trials to be effective against drug-resistant strains of the gonorrhoea bacteria.

A Unique Development Model

Zoliflodacin emerged from a unique collaborative effort for drug creation. The charitable organization GARDP partnered with the pharmaceutical company Innoviva to develop it.
